1. Purpose

We care about your privacy. You should be safe when communicating your personal information. We comply with current data protection legislation and internal rules and guidelines for processing and handling your data. 

The purpose of this policy is to inform you about how we treat your personal information, what we use it for, with whom it is shared and why. And to clarify what your rights are so you can make the most of them.

We treat your personal information only for specific and explicit purposes, and we always strive to use the least privacy-sensitive data.

We may need your personal information to comply with agreements or laws, and to conduct customer and market analyzes. We may also need your personal information to provide you with good service, such as marketing, follow-up and information.

In cases where necessary or otherwise appropriate, we will obtain your consent before we begin processing your personal information. You have the right to revoke your consent at any time. We will no longer process your personal information or obtain new, provided that it is not necessary to fulfill our obligations under contract or law. When we sign an agreement, you also agree that we process your personal information.

We also get access to your personal information as follows:

  • Data that is registered when you visit our website
  • Data that we recieve from public records
  • Data that we receive when you hire one of our employees
  • Data that is recieved when you register for/attend to our seminars and courses
  • Data that is recieved when you sign up for our news letters and other forms of mailings
  • Data that we recieve when you subit your anwsers in our surveys

 

3.3 What information do we provide you with?

We work out routines and practices to ensure that your personal information is handled safely. The starting point is that only personnel in our organization who need the personal data to perform their duties should have access to them.

Personal data is retained only as long as there is a need to preserve them to fulfill the purposes for which the data was collected.

Our security systems are developed with your integrity in focus and to a great extent protect against intrusion, destruction and other changes that could endanger your privacy.

We do not transfer personal data in cases other than those expressly stated in this policy.

 

3.5 When do we share your personal information?

Our starting point is not to disclose your personal information to third parties unless you have consented to it or if it is not necessary to fulfill our obligations under contract or law. In cases where we disclose personal information to third parties, we establish confidentiality agreements and ensure that personal data is processed in a safe manner.

Valtor Offshore A/S takes full responsibility for the processing of your personal data and that the processing is in accordance to what is stated in this policy.
